Job Description
Our client is a highly regarded investment firm that invests both equity and debt across a broad range of sectors. The portfolio primarily consists of small to mid-cap UK investments, however they have made some investments in Europe. The firm have been successful in raising additional funds and subsequently the portfolio continues to grow. In addition to managing the existing portfolio, the portfolio management also lead on follow on investments.
As a result there is now a need to hire a Senior Portfolio Manager. As a Senior Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the management of a large equity and debt portfolio. You will help improve systems, processes and reporting procedures both internally i.e. senior management and externally i.e. banks and co-investors. You will manage junior members of the team and will understand the commercial impact of issues as they arise and the relevant experience to deal with these problems. Suitable candidates will have a combination of deal origination / execution and portfolio management experience in leveraged or structured finance.
