Communications Manager supporting the Global Markets (GM) business across FICC and Equities to sit within a dynamic Corporate Communications team based in London.
Role content
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing primarily external and internal communications support across the GM line of businesses in the EMEA region by working closely with relevant business heads and the GM Communications relationship manager for this business.
The position requires experience of working with and influencing high-profile senior executives and managing critical communication programmes, ideally for a global markets and banking business. Reporting directly to the GM Communications relationship manager this is a challenging role with high visibility and scope for development.
Responsibilities
The role broadly involves:
- Providing day to day press relation activities support: taking press calls, setting up and managing interviews, tracking forward features, maintaining media contacts lists, monitoring press coverage and taking responsibility for activity reporting, writing and issuing press releases.
- Providing ad-hoc internal communications support: work with Global Markets senior executives to develop and implement business focused internal communication plans, draft and manage the distribution of executive announcements, writing articles that engage employees, influence behaviour and support the company's objectives and manage internal approval processes with a range of stakeholders including senior executives, HR, Legal, Compliance etc
- Develop good working relationships with senior executives and spokespeople as well as relevant press contacts and BofAML's PR agency network across the region in order to raise the profile of the bank in local press
- Build and maintain a strong network of internal contacts and sources
- Help develop ongoing press relationship-building programmes for senior executives
- Support all awards coordination for GM working closely with the businesses and publications
